Valencia – Spain disaster 25 Feb 2024:

It Will be interesting to hear comments from manufacturers who are ambiguously promoting A2L flammable (R32, R454B) and NOW A3 explosive (propane R290) refrigerants in fridges, freezers, air conditioning & Heat Pump equipment.

Flammable refrigerants/Hydrocarbons training should be mandatory and not only for refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump engineers and equipment installers, but also for sales personnel selling these types of domestic appliances and to the end user to ensure that users are fully aware of safety implications of operating systems containing flammable refrigerants in domestic equipment.

EPLAN ENERGY CHOOSE ACR Training.

ACR Training is proud to be working with EPLAN ENERGY to keep their engineering skills up to date with current F-Gas Legislation and practices at our dedicated training centre in Telford, Shropshire.

Our training style is a little different and, in some respects, very simple. Our One-to-One training model ensures that learners leave the ACR Training Centre with a much greater understanding of subject knowledge and feel confident in their abilities to put their new practical skills into action.

KEEPING KROYAIR SKILLS UP TO DATE…

F-GAS REQ. FOR SUB-CONTRACTORS.

All sub-contractors working in the refrigeration and air conditioning sector or involved in any part of the installation, servicing, maintenance, repair or decommissioning of any stationary refrigeration, air conditioning, or heat pump system must be registered with REFCOM (or equivalent EU company registration certifying body). They must be registered as a company as well as holding their individual F-Gas qualification such as City & Guilds 2079, BESA FGas, CITB J11, or LCL FGas.

There is confusion about certification types with people commonly referring to “having their F-Gas” whilst referring to either their personal qualifications or their company registration certificate depending on the context of the conversation.

For clarity, every person (natural person) working in the sector must hold a personal F-Gas qualification and every business entity (legal person), whether working as a sole trader or a limited company, must hold a company registration certificate (REFCOM) for any work involved with any part of an installation, repairs, servicing, maintenance, or decommissioning.

To find out how ACR Training can help you to gain your F-Gas certification, call us today on 01952 200490 or email us at info@acrtraining.co.uk
